This temple is located in the center of Rishikesh city. The idol of Lord Vishnu is installed in this temple. It is considered to be the very oldest and most sacred temple in the city. This city has been named Rishikesh after him. It is believed that in this temple, on the day of Akshaya Tritiya, the feet of Lord Vishnu are seen, after which the doors of Chardham are opened.
Satyanarayan Temple
This temple is located near Lakshman Jhula in Rishikesh. Its history is said to be more than 500 years old. It is said that when there was no motorway facility, travelers going to Chardham used to rest for a night in this temple. After a night passed, they started their journey the next day.
Garun Temple
This temple situated in Garun Chatti is situated at a distance of about 10 kilometers from Rishikesh. It is believed that here Lord Vishnu was pleased with the penance of Garun Dev and gave him a boon. It is said that those who are unable to go to Badrinath Dham, get similar results by visiting this temple.
Adi Badri Dwarkadhish Temple
The Shri Sacha Akhileshwar Temple is situated in Laxman Jhula, opposite to which is the Adi Badri Dwarkadhish Temple. Here you can easily get Ganga water from Char Dham. The idol of Lord Vishnu is installed here. Those who are not able to go to Chardham, they can take the water of Chardham here.
Gauri Shankar Mahadev Temple
It is believed that in this temple located near Triveni Sangam, about 60,000 years ago, Mother Parvati waited for the sage to wake up from his penance. At one time this route used to be the walking route to Badrinath Dham. People first used to take baths in the Triveni river and then only after that, they started their journey.
