To get a passport
If you apply for a new or reissued passport of 36 pages, you will have to pay an application fee of Rs 1500 and an additional provisional fee of Rs 2000. This passport is valid for 10 years.
If you apply for 60 pages or a re-issued passport, then you will have to pay the application fee of Rs 2000 and an additional temporary amount of Rs 2000. The validity of this passport is for 10 years.
If you are below 18 years of age and you apply for a new or re-issued passport with 36 pages, you will have to pay an application fee of Rs 1,000 and an additional provisional fee of Rs 2,000.
If your 36-page passport is lost, damaged, or stolen, an application fee of Rs 3,000 and an additional provisional fee of Rs 2,000 have to be paid for re-making it.
