There is a cave on a mountain in a forest in Sri Lanka. Ravana's head is still kept in this cave. This cave is located in the dense forest of Raigala, Sri Lanka. It is believed that Lord Rama had killed Ravana 10 thousand years ago.
Where is this forest located?
It is said that Ravana's body has been kept in this cave located at an altitude of 8 thousand feet in the Raigala forest. Ravana's body has been mummified and kept in a box. On which a special coating has been applied.
Who discovered?
This research was done by the International Ramayana Research Center based in Sri Lanka. According to research, the box in which Ravana's body is kept is 18 feet long and 5 feet wide.
It is also said that there is a priceless treasure of Ravana under this box. Which is protected by a snake and some dangerous animals. Although this has been proved in his research, no one has been able to go there.
Who kept Ravana's body here?
It is said that after killing Ravana, Lord Rama handed over his body to Vibhishana. So that it could be cremated, but Vibhishana, in a hurry to assume the throne, did not perform the last rites and left the body as it was. However, there is no concrete evidence as to how much truth there is in this.
