When the temple was being constructed, the idol of the goddess was kept in one place at night. But in the morning the idol disappeared, the idol was found again at the same place from where it was picked up. After this, it was decided that the temple would be built at the same place where the idol of the goddess was found.
How to reach Devi Temple
This temple is on the banks of the pond in the Tehsil Camp area of Panipat. You can reach here in just 25 to 30 minutes from Panipat Railway Station.
If you come here from Panipat bus station, it will take you just 20 minutes. You will find many autos to reach the Devi Temple. For just Rs 50, it will take you to the Devi temple.
