Now you can buy bus as well as metro tickets on the One Delhi mobile app of the Delhi Transport Department. Till now, ticket booking for DTC buses has been done on this app.

Delhi Metro Managing Director Vikas Kumar and Delhi Transport Department Commissioner Ashish Kundra launched this service on Friday, January 5. This app is run in collaboration with IIIT-D i.e. Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology, Delhi. Information about bus timetables and their live status is also available on the app.

According to Delhi Metro, this strategic partnership will make metro travel more convenient. Passengers travelling by both metro and bus will get a one-stop solution. Through this app, passengers will be able to buy bus and metro tickets. Besides, you will also be able to make travel plans through the app.

Let us tell you that DMRC sells digital QR tickets through many mediums like DMRC Sarathi (Momentum 2.0) App, WhatsApp, Paytm, DMRC Travel App, Phone Pay and Riddler (only for Airport Express Line). Through these mediums, 1.2 lakh passengers are travelling daily through digital QR tickets.

Buying QR tickets on the Delhi Metro has now become very easy. You can buy a QR metro ticket through the 'One Delhi' app in just a few easy steps.

Know how to buy QR tickets through the 'One Delhi' app:

1. Download One Delhi App:

First of all, download the 'One Delhi' app from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store.

2. Register or Log in:

After installing the app, you need to register or log in with your existing account. To register, you can enter your mobile number and email address.

3. Choose metro for travel:

After logging in, you will see the option of 'Metro' on the main screen, you can choose it according to your journey.

4. Fill in travel information:

After selecting the 'Metro' option, fill in your journey details such as starting station, ending station and number of people travelling.

5. Choose payment method:

After filling in your travel information, choose a payment method. You can use debit or credit card, UPI payment, Paytm or PhonePe saved in your app.

6. Generate QR Code:

Once the payment is successful, the app will generate a QR code for you. This QR code is your metro ticket.

7. Show the QR Code at the Gate:

When you reach your starting station, go to any metro gate. Hold the QR code shown on your phone screen in front of the QR code scanner installed at the gate. If the QR code is scanned correctly, the gate will open and you can board the metro.

  • Make sure beforehand that your phone has an internet connection.
  • You can buy tickets for five people at once from the 'One Delhi' app.
  • All types of metro cards can be recharged through the 'One Delhi' app.
