Last month I got a chance to go to Mumbai. The opportunity was to cover Ganesh Utsav, where I and one of my colleagues reached. Before going to Mumbai we had to spend 2 days in Maharashtra. During this time, I got a chance to go to Palghar in Maharashtra. A district of Maharashtra which is known for its rich history and supernatural scenes is still far away from the crowd. There are no big buildings here like Mumbai. There are beautiful beaches, temples and forts here. There is such peace here that you might not find in the noise of Mumbai.

People live together in this place. Decorations are done together during the festival. There are hot springs here, which provide relief to the body in winter. Palghar is a big and wonderful city full of historical and pilgrimage sites. Let us tell you what the specialty here is.

Palghar is a beautiful part of the Thane district of Maharashtra.

Be it the Kelwa Fort built by the Portuguese or the Ram Temple, you will get to see so many amazing places and beautiful examples of architecture in Palghar. There is a beach near Kelva Fort, which seems very calm. Another fort in Palghar is Shirgaon which is surrounded by lush green palm trees. There is the Ram temple and Shitala Mata temple, which is known for its amazing powers. The manor town of Palghar is a must-see here. Famous for its pottery, the manor is peaceful and a favourite spot for tourists.

Palghar is popular for hot water spring

Palghar has geothermal springs, which are known for their high sulfur content. It is believed that taking a dip in this water can cure many diseases including arthritis, skin conditions and respiratory problems. This hot water spring present in the Shiva temple amidst dense forest is popular among the locals. This place provides an experience of spending time in solitude and gives tourists a chance to connect with nature.

Relationship between Worli Art and Palghar

Do you know about Warli's art? It is one of the most popular attractions of Palghar. We arrive in Palghar to meet a local and famous artist. We learned and understood about this art. We got the opportunity to know that there are many stories hidden in this art, which are carved to create wonderful paintings.

Kelwa Fort and Beach of Palghar

Kelva Fort is a 16th-century historical fort located near Kelva Fort in Palghar. It was built by the Portuguese, which testifies to the rich history of the area. It is a great place to enjoy stunning views of the surrounding landscape.

Shitala Devi Temple

Shitala Devi Temple is a big temple dedicated to Mata Shitala Mata. There is a Ram Kund in its courtyard and there is a Shivalinga inside the temple. It is believed that during the war between Lord Rama and Ravana, Lord Rama had offered prayers in this temple before leaving for Lanka. At that time, to get water, he hit a trident in the ground and created this pond. After the worship of Lord Ram, this Linga was incarnated and water was offered from this pond itself. If you want to visit this temple which is open throughout the year, then you must also visit this temple.

Dhanau Beach

This beach is a beautiful, quiet beach located in the city of Dhanau. It is known for its clean sand and lush green environment. Away from the hustle and bustle of the city, you can enjoy the beauty of the surroundings while drinking coconut water with your family.

I lived my most beautiful moments here. If Ganesh had not come to cover the festival, she might not have been able to visit this place.
