Chandanwadi

This valley is situated on the outer edge of Pahalgam, it is a very beautiful valley. It is situated at a distance of about 15 km from Pahalgam. Here you will find lakes, waterfalls and beautiful snow-covered mountains. Many people plan their honeymoon here.

However, the beauty of Chandanwadi is famous throughout Jammu and Kashmir. Besides, it also has religious significance. It is said that this is a tourist place from where AmarnathYatra starts. Therefore Chandanwadi is very special for tourists also.

Mamleshwar Temple

Whenever you visit Pahalgam, do not forget to explore the religious place. Although there are many religious places here, it would be better if you visit Mamleshwar Temple. Let us tell you that this temple was built in the 12th century. Let us tell you that Lord Shiva is worshipped here. This temple is located near a stream originating from the Kolahoi Glacier, which is located in Mamal village.

Pahalgam is about 1 kilometer away from here. According to history, the original temple is said to have been constructed in the 4th century. King Jayasimha rebuilt this temple in Mamalka village during the 12th century.

Aru Valley

Although every place in Kashmir is best, if you are fond of trekking then definitely visit Aru Valley once. Here you will get many options, which you can select according to your budget.

While trekking, if you pass through the mountains, you will find the view here very beautiful. Apart from this, you can have a picnic on its banks and sit in peace with your partner for hours. Apart from this, you can also go fishing in Aru Valley.

Snow festival is best for trekking

How to reach Pahalgam?

To go to Pahalgam you will first have to go to Srinagar. Then you will reach here comfortably. To reach here you can easily take a train, bus or flight. After coming to Srinagar, you will have to reach Pahalgam with the help of taxi. Pahalgam is about 100 kilometers away from here and can be easily reached by road.
