Yuzvendra Chahal 5 Wickets Against Derbyshire: Indian leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal has once again shown his ability in England's county cricket. Before the IPL Mega Auction 2025 and due to being out of Team India, Yuzvendra Chahal is playing for Northamptonshire in county cricket. Playing for Northamptonshire, Chahal bowled brilliantly against Derbyshire and single-handedly sent half the team to the pavilion.

Derbyshire batsmen could not stand in front of Chahal

Yuzvendra Chahal bowled brilliantly for Northamptonshire against Derbyshire in the County Championship Division 2 and took five wickets. With this performance, Chahal once again showed his spin prowess, thanks to which Northamptonshire made a great comeback in the county match. Yuzvendra Chahal bowled 16.3 overs in the first innings against Derbyshire. In which he took five wickets for 45 runs at an economy of 2.73.

After losing his place in Team India, he made a great comeback in the county

Even after being selected in Team India for the T20 World Cup 2024, Yuzvendra Chahal did not get a chance to play a single match in the entire tournament. Although the team won the title by defeating South Africa in the final, Chahal remained on the bench. After this, he did not get a place in the team even in the T20 series against Zimbabwe and Sri Lanka.

Yuzvendra Chahal, who has taken the most T20 wickets for India, has taken 96 wickets in 79 matches, but he has not yet been able to represent India in any T20 World Cup. Chahal played his last match for India in August 2023 against West Indies, in which he conceded 51 runs in 4 overs and did not take any wicket.

In IPL 2024, Yuzvendra Chahal performed brilliantly for Rajasthan Royals by taking 18 wickets in 15 matches. These brilliant performances of Chahal in the county once again proved that he has returned to form and his demand may increase in the upcoming IPL 2025 mega auction.
