Chennai Super Kings (CSK) middle-order batsman Ambati Rayudu announced his retirement from the Indian Premier League (IPL) on Saturday. Ambati Rayudu's fans were also taken aback by this sudden decision. Some people also started sharing posts about his career and the memories attached to it, but Rayudu later deleted his tweet.

In this regard, CSK CEO Kashi Vishwanath said that Rayudu is not retiring from IPL yet.

Ambati Rayudu wrote, "I am happy to announce that this (IPL-2022) will be my last IPL season. I’ve been with 2 great teams in the last 13 years. Thanks to Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings for this wonderful trip. 'He later deleted the tweet. So far, Rayudu has not commented on the matter, but the Chennai team CEO said that the cricketer was disappointed with the team's poor performance.

Kashi Vishwanath told Sportsstar, "I talked to Ambati and he is not retiring. He was disappointed with his performance and so he tweeted it but he has deleted it. He will definitely not retire after this season. This is not the first time Rayudu has announced his sudden retirement. He also announced his retirement when he was not part of the squad for the 2019 ODI World Cup, but later changed his mind and returned to play in the IPL.

Rayudu, 36, has played a total of 187 matches in the IPL so far and has scored 4187 runs with the help of 1 century, 22 half centuries. Apart from this, he has also played 55 ODIs and 6 T20I matches for India. He has scored a total of 1694 runs in ODIs with the help of 3 centuries and 10 half centuries while he has only 42 runs in his T20 International career.
