It may be noted that in two pictures posted on Pandya's account, he can be seen posing with Dhoni. He is sitting in the driver's seat of the motorcycle while the former captain is sitting in the sidecar. Let us tell you that Pandya has already led the team against Ireland, New Zealand, and Sri Lanka and has won the first title under his captaincy in Gujarat Titans in IPL 2022. In such a situation, many cricket experts have demanded to make Pandya be the full-time captain. Pandya is also the vice-captain of Rohit Sharma in ODIs.

India beat New Zealand 3-0 in the ODI series

Rohit led India to a 3-0 ODI series win over New Zealand, with the right-handed batsman scoring his first century in three years during the third match in Indore. However, he has not played a single T20I game for India since the end of the T20 World Cup in Australia last year. Both Rohit and Virat Kohli haven't featured for India in the shortest format of the game and the selectors are keen to give chances to youngsters. Pandya may likely lead the team shortly.
