The controversy that started after the non-selection of Sarfaraz Khan in the Indian Test team is getting bigger. Sarfaraz, who has been batting brilliantly for the last three Ranji seasons, has not yet been included in Team India. Recently, the Test team against the West Indies was announced and Sarfaraz's name was not there, while Yashasvi Jaiswal and Rituraj Gaikwad were part of this team. After this, many veterans questioned the non-selection of Sarfaraz.

Answering these questions, a BCCI official said that he is not getting selected for the team due to poor fitness and bad behavior. If he makes himself fit and adopts a soft approach, he will be included in Team India. After this people close to Sarfaraz have said that Sarfaraz never misbehaves with any player and has also passed the yoyo test in terms of fitness. In such a situation, the selectors should be told the reason for not selecting him.

Last season, after scoring a century in the match against Delhi, Sarfaraz pointed the finger toward the dressing room, and his gesture was widely criticized. This was taken as sarcasm by one of the selectors watching the match. However, people associated with Sarfaraz say that during a Ranji match in Delhi, Sarfaraz's celebration was meant for his teammates and coach Amol Majumdar, who took off his cap. The selector present on the ground at that time was Salil Ankola, not Chetan Sharma. Sarfaraz got the team out of the pressure situation and celebrated in relief.

"Is it wrong to celebrate and that too when you are pointing towards your dressing room," asked a person associated with Sarfaraz.

There was also an incident where MP coach Chandrakant Pandit was not happy with his attitude but the source said that Pandit has always liked Sarfaraz. He said, "Chandu sir treats him like a son. He always has nice things to say about him and has known him since he was 14. He will never get angry at Sarfaraz."

People close to Sarfaraz want to know why he was ignored in the Indian team despite scoring big scores. Currently, the Indian team's fitness criteria are 16.5 and Sarfaraz has passed it and as far as cricket fitness is concerned, he has batted for two days and fielded for two days many times.
