Batting great Javed Miandad has spewed fresh venom at India, saying that Pakistan should not travel to the neighboring country for this year's ICC ODI World Cup. He said that Pakistan should also not travel to India unless the BCCI first agreed to send its team to Pakistan. According to the draft schedule of the ODI World Cup prepared by the ICC, Pakistan is scheduled to play India on October 15 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
Miandad said- the Pakistani team went to India in 2012 and 2016. Now it is the turn of Indians to come here. If I had to make a decision, I would not go to India to play any match, even the World Cup. We are always ready to play them (India), but they never respond in the same way.
Miandad said, "Pakistan cricket is big. We are still producing good players. So I don't think it will make any difference to us even if we don't go to India." India last toured Pakistan in 2008 for the 50-over Asia Cup. Since then there has been a long-standing rivalry between the two countries. Bilateral cricket ties were suspended due to ongoing political tensions. Miandad believes that sports should not be mixed with politics.

He said- I always say that one cannot choose his neighbor. So it is better to live in cooperation with each other. I have always said that cricket is a game that brings people closer to each other and can remove misunderstandings and grievances between countries. This statement of Miandad has come to the fore when Pakistan is going to host the upcoming Asia Cup in a hybrid model.
According to this model, India will play all its matches in Sri Lanka. Miandad, an outspoken critic of India, did not like the decision. He said- We were feeling that BCCI will not send its team to Pakistan again for the Asia Cup. That's why the time has come for us to take a tough stand.
