Rohit Sharma slams broadcaster Rohit Sharma scored his 30th ODI century against New Zealand in Indore but he didn't seem happy with the broadcaster's statement. Sharma lashed out at the broadcaster while answering a question at the press conference.

Indian team captain Rohit Sharma finally ended his century drought and scored his 30th century in the third and final ODI against New Zealand. Rohit Sharma's century laid the foundation for India's 90-run victory and a 3–0 clean sweep of New Zealand.

However, the Indian skipper was not pleased with the response from broadcasters Star Sports, who showed that it was his first hundred in three years. Rohit Sharma appeared irked by this question in the post-match press conference and lashed out at the broadcaster for not knowing the facts and not showing the right things.

Rohit lashed out at the broadcaster

Rohit Sharma scored his last ODI century in 2020 against Australia. The Indian captain was asked by the reporter if it took three years to reach the century from 29th to 30th in the 50-over format. In response, Rohit Sharma said, 'Telling the first century in three years, whereas in all these years I played only 12 ODIs. So these three years sound like a long time.

When the journalist defended that he did not want to be critical with the question, Rohit lashed out at the broadcaster and said, "You know what happened." I know it was shown on the broadcast. Sometimes the broadcaster also needs to show the right stuff. Last year we did not play ODI cricket, we focused more on T20 cricket. So people should keep these things in mind. The broadcaster should show the right things.

What kind of return?

Please tell that after scoring a century in 2020, Rohit Sharma played only 11 ODIs in the next two years. He played three ODIs in 2021 and eight in 2022. Then played six matches in 2023. Rohit Sharma got starts in all five matches against Sri Lanka and New Zealand but could not score big. However, he managed to score a century in Indore.

Rohit was asked by a journalist whether this inning was his big comeback. On this, 35-year-old Rohit Sharma retorted and said, 'What kind of comeback? I did not understand. Oh, someone must have told you. See, out of those three years, everyone was at home for 8 months. Where were the matches? Last year we played only T20 cricket. No one is playing better than Suryakumar Yadav in T20 cricket these days. He has scored two centuries and I do not care if anyone else has scored a century.

He further said, 'Talking about Tests, I played only two matches last year and got injured in between. So you will see all these things before making your news.
