Indian wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant may not be playing the ICC World Test Championship final against Australia at The Oval, but he is following the match from the comfort of his home. Pant is recovering from serious injuries sustained in a car accident last year. Pant shared a photo on Instagram while watching the match. Along with this photo, he also shared a 'crossed finger' and heart emoji.

Team India is trailing in the final of the World Test Championship, but Pant is as positive as ever and expressed through emoji that he is hopeful that Team India will bounce back and win the match.


Pant was one of India's most important players during the 2021-23 cycle of the World Test Championship. He contributed significantly to his team's victories in several series. In 12 matches, he scored 868 runs at an average of 43.40. His best score was 146 runs. During this, two centuries and five fifties also came out of his bat. Rishabh Pant has so far played a total of 24 matches in the Test Championship and has scored 1,575 runs in 41 innings at an average of 41.44. He has also scored three centuries and nine fifties.

In December 2022, Pant was a victim of a car accident. He was seriously injured in this accident and now it will take several months for him to return to the field. For this reason, he is not playing in the final of the Test Championship. His KS Bharat has been included in Team India.

India is lagging behind in the match
