Let us tell you that BCCI has issued an ultimatum to the senior players of Team India as well as the head coach of the team Gautam Gambhir that if the results in the Border Gavaskar Trophy (BGT) do not come in favor of Team India, then some strict action can be taken against these people.
After the crushing defeat against New Zealand, BCCI had called a review meeting in which after a meeting that lasted for 6 hours, it was decided that if Team India loses the Border Gavaskar Trophy badly, then Gautam Gambhir can be stripped of the coaching of Test format and he can be made the coach of white ball only.
VVS Laxman can become the next coach
Let us tell you that after Gambhir, BCCI can make VVS Laxman the next coach of Team India. Laxman is the head of NCA but he has been coaching Team India in the absence of the head coach. Currently, Laxman is present as the head coach of Team India in the South Africa tour, because Gautam Gambhir is present with Team India for the Border Gavaskar Trophy.
Laxman has coached before too
Let us tell you that VVS Laxman has coached Team India before too. He took over the responsibility of the coach of Team India in the absence of Rahul Dravid in the Ireland series held before the Asia Cup last year.
