Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, making a big announcement before the assembly elections to be held later this year, said on Thursday on the occasion of Republic Day that from the next financial year, monthly unemployment allowance will be given to unemployed youth in the state. Before the 2018 assembly elections, Congress had also promised to give allowance to the unemployed.

Unemployment allowance for youth every month
Baghel said, “Unemployed youth will be given unemployment allowance every month from the next financial year (2023-24).” He said that for promoting passenger facilities at Raipur airport, commercial development of the airport area, and employment generation, Swami Aerocity will be developed near Vivekananda Airport.

The Chief Minister said that a rural industry policy will be formulated in Chhattisgarh to strengthen the cottage industry-based rural economy and to increase the employment and income of the people. He said that a new scheme would be launched to help women groups, women entrepreneurs, and women start-ups to set up industries.
Big announcement for Panchayats
Baghel said that the state government has been determined to preserve the culture and festivals of the tribal society of Chhattisgarh. He said that from the coming financial year, the government will provide Rs 10,000 per year to each gram panchayat for organizing the best festivals of tribal society in Bastar division, Surguja division, and scheduled areas of the state.

He said that after saving and cherishing the culture and heritage of Chhattisgarh, Chhattisgarh State Innovation Commission will be constituted in the state to continuously move Chhattisgarh forward on the path of progress.
The Chief Minister said that the lifeline and center of public faith of Raipur and Durg districts, the Kharoon river is also an important center of trade and entertainment. He announced to development of an excellent 'riverfront' on the Kharoon river.
Kaushalya Festival in Chandkhuri
Baghel said that Chhattisgarh is the land of Mata Kaushalya, therefore Kaushalya Mahotsav will be organized every year in Chandkhuri. According to researchers, Chandkhuri located in the Raipur district is the birthplace of Mata Kaushalya and it is the only temple in the world dedicated to her.
The temple was renovated and beautified by the Congress government under its ambitious 'Ram Van Gaman' tourism circuit project. Under this scheme, all those important places of the state are being developed as tourist places, where Lord Ram had traveled during his exile.
