He took training in natural farming from Padma Shri Subhash Palekar, the father of natural farming in Bharatpur, Rajasthan. After that, he started this farming method in one kanal as an experiment and after that, he adopted the natural farming (Prakritik Kheti) method in his entire 15 canals or seven and a half bighas of land.

Vegetables are grown naturally

According to Suresh, he got to see miraculous results in the very first year of the natural farming method. He says that when a sales center for natural farming products opened outside Kangra District Deputy Commissioner's Office, he too used to send his fruits and vegetables to it. But after some time it stopped for some reason. The customers coming to the sales center appreciated Natural Farming products very much and many customers call them and take vegetables from their farms.

According to the Himachal Pradesh Agriculture Department, Suresh has been given a canopy for the sale of his products under the Prakritik Kheti Khushhal Yojana, which he is also working to sell natural vegetables and fruits by planting on the roadside.

Suresh Kumar imparts natural farming training in his panchayat as well as in the panchayats around him. He has also opened a resource store with the help of the scheme, in which he is giving ready inputs to the farmers. By showing the model of natural farming that he has developed in his fields to other farmers, he is also motivating them to do this farming.

How much profit

According to Suresh, the cost of chemical farming was high and the profit was less. But since the time natural farming was tried, the expenditure decreased while the income more than doubled. Now 65,000 rupees are being earned in 1 thousand rupees.
