The video conferencing app Zoom has changed its policy. According to the new policy, Zoom will also now use users' data to train its Artificial Intelligence (AI), that is, Zoom will now use users' data very systematically. Zoom has said that permission will be taken from the users for this.
By the way, Zoom has given the relief that it will not use users' video, audio, and chat to trend its AI model. According to section 10.2 of the company's policy, users will consent to Zoom's use of data for machine learning and AI practices.
There has also been an uproar in the Zoom user community regarding this policy of Zoom. Many people are opposing it. Meanwhile, Zoom's Chief Product Officer Smita Hashim issued a clarification via a blog post stating that Zoom users must provide their consent before sharing their data for AI training.
Let us tell you that a few months ago, Zoom got a telecom service license for the Indian market. Now Zoom can provide telecom service across the country. Zoom Video Communication (ZVC) has also confirmed the acquisition of the license. Zoom provides a video conference facility through its app and website.
