It may be the beginning of summer, but the need to cool down the room is already visible. April-May has not even come yet, but the temperature has increased.
There are many countries around the world which are known for recording record-breaking temperatures during this season. India is also one of those countries and the people living here know very well the condition of summer in a city like Delhi.
Even now if you leave the house after 11 am, you feel a high temperature. In such a situation, I just feel like running home quickly. The pleasure of sitting under the fan and spreading comfortably will not be found anywhere else. But sometimes even the fan fails to provide that comfort. That's why we are here to help you. The tips we will tell you today to cool your home without AC or a cooler are going to be useful for you.
1. Cool the house with cross-breeze
If you open the doors and windows together, it creates cross ventilation or cross-breeze. That's all you have to do with the pedestal fan. Place two of your fans facing opposite windows to create a cross-breeze. It will direct the airflow from both the fans across the room and cool the air in the house quickly. This air fan will help circulate the cool air throughout the room.
2. Place a fan with large furniture
Where and how you place the fan also has a significant impact on airflow. Now the question is whether it can increase its power by changing its position, then the answer is yes of course.
Place a fan in front of a large piece of furniture in your room. This will help circulate the air more effectively and keep the room cooler. Similarly, placing a fan near an open window cools the outside air and keeps the room cool.
3. Hang a wet towel near the fan
Most of us must have tried and seen this. With this, it is also very easy to keep the house cool. Now whenever you take a bath and the towel is wet, hang it under your ceiling fan or near the pedestal fan. This will cause the water to evaporate and remove the heat from the air.
Also keep in mind that fans don't lower the temperature of the air, but they can make a room feel cooler by creating a wind chill effect.
4. Check the position of the ceiling fan
The direction in your fan spins will determine whether your fan is working to cool the house or is only blowing warm air. The blades should rotate counterclockwise during warmer months to help push cooler air downward. This cools the air and you will be able to face any problem even on hot summer days.
5.Keep Other Electronics Off
Appliances that raise the temperature in your home include your dishwasher, oven, stove top, television, and refrigerator. During the day, not only sunlight but also the heat emanating from them cools the room. Turn off the power of those things which are not needed. Switching off even small electronic devices will make a huge difference in the room .
Prepare your home before the scorching heat comes. By trying these tips, you too can keep your room cool.
