To keep themselves warm in winter, people sit on quilts, wear lots of woolen clothes, and use fireplaces or heaters. However, due to excessive cold, all these measures are not able to provide warmth to the body from the inside. Due to the cold, the body remains cold and feels shivery. If the body does not get warmth then there is a possibility of cold or fever. In such a situation, yoga is beneficial for warming the body. Some yoga asanas help in keeping the body warm internally, as well as prevent seasonal diseases. Here yoga asanas are being given to keep the body warm in winter.

Ustrasana
Lie on your back on the mat and keep your hands at your sides. Now slowly bend your legs from the knees and bring them near the hips. Raise the hips as high as possible from the floor. Hold your breath in this position for some time and then exhale and come back to the previous position.

Sarvangasana
While doing Sarvangasana, lie down on your back. Joining both legs together, keep the arms and palms facing the ground. Pressing the ground with the palms, lift both legs straight towards the ceiling. While lifting the hips and waist above the ground, bend the elbows and place them on the waist. Keep the body at a 90-degree angle by supporting it with your hands. Remain in this position for a few seconds.

Setubandhasana
To do Setubandhasana, first, lie down on your back. Now keep your feet shoulder-width apart and bend your knees. Open the palms and keep the hands straight on the ground. While inhaling, lift the waist upwards and keep the shoulders and head on the flat ground. Later, while exhaling, come back to the old position.

Naukasana
To practice this yoga, first lie down on your back and keep your hands next to the body. Take a deep breath and lift your chest and legs. Extend the arms towards your legs. Your eyes, fingers, and toes should be in a straight line. Feel the tension in your navel area to apply pressure to the abdominal muscles. Remain in this position for some time and then come back to normal.
