Yoga and food
Often people think that asana is generally an activity done while sitting, which does not require much physical effort. Therefore, food can be eaten before doing yoga. People do yoga after eating and drinking. But practicing yoga on a full stomach increases the chances of harm instead of benefits. Keeping too much food or water in the stomach is not good for health.
Correct method- The best solution is to have a light breakfast one or two hours before doing yoga. There should be one hour between food and yoga so that you do not feel any problem while practicing yogasanas.

Phone and yoga
Due to busy lifestyles, juggling two tasks has become common. Using a mobile phone while doing yoga, such as talking on the phone, texting intermittently, etc., is normal. But yoga is a meditative activity, in which the use of a phone distracts the yogi's attention.
Correct method- It is very important that while doing yoga, the phone should be silenced for at least an hour. Keep your mobile away from you even for an hour so that mental stress can be reduced and the mind can be prevented from getting confused or distracted.

Ignore breathing
Yoga practice is based on breathing. It is very important to control the breathing pattern while doing yoga. But many times yogis ignore the pace of breathing as per the yoga practice. They practice yoga by holding their breath or adopt the wrong method of inhaling and exhaling.
Correct method- During yoga, it is often advised to take slow and deep breaths. Many yoga asanas have to be done according to the flow of breath. This can be made easier with consistent practice.

Yoga and water
One should not drink water in the middle of yoga or immediately after yoga practice. Drinking water after yoga causes problems of phlegm in the throat.
Correct method- Do not drink water at all during yoga practice. After doing yoga, drink water only after waiting for some time.

Yoga and bath
Doing yoga consumes a lot of body energy. Body temperature increases after practicing yoga. In such a situation, one should not take a bath immediately after practicing yoga, as it can cause diseases like colds and coughs.
