Education is like a path to a better future for children. Children go to school to get an education. In school, children are taught many subjects to make them proficient in every direction. Often children are weak in some subjects on which they need to concentrate more. Many students are preparing for competitive exams, for which they study for hours.
However, sitting and studying for hours often causes problems like insomnia, eye irritation, headache, or body aches in children. Complaint of not being able to concentrate in studies is also common. If your child also takes long hours in school or coaching classes, or studies for hours sitting in his room, then it can affect his mental and physical health. The child also needs to be physically active and it is also important to give rest to the brain. In such a situation, information about some yogasanas is being given here. Know in the next slides about yoga for students who sit and study for hours.
Yoga to focus
Children often do not concentrate while studying. Due to this, their mind keeps wandering and they do not feel like studying. Sitting continuously with a book does not mean studying. So that the child can focus on their studies, make him practice Vrikshasana. This yoga maintains the balance of the body and helps in concentrating.
Method of practicing Vrikshasana
For the practice of Vrikshasana, stand straight and balance on the left leg, bend the right leg, and place the sole on the thigh of the left leg. Maintain balance in this position and take the Namaskar posture by joining hands and taking them above the head. Stay in this position for some time, and later repeat the process with the other leg.
Yoga to relax eyes
Continuous studying causes pain in the eyes and there may also be complaints of weak eyesight. You can practice Bhastrika Pranayama to relax the eyes and sharpen your vision. This yoga also affects the lungs, ears, and nose.
Method of Bhastrika Pranayam
To do this asana, sit in Sukhasana posture and keep your neck and spine straight. Now, without moving the body, take a deep breath and exhale rapidly while making sounds through both nostrils.
Yoga for physical health
Sitting in one place and studying for hours reduces physical activity. Studying while sitting in a wrong position or studying with the head bowed causes problems of back and neck pain. Instead of sitting continuously, one should get up in between and walk for some time. Also for physical activity, you can practice Sarvangasana Yoga. This yoga strengthens the muscles of the arms and shoulders, sharpens memory, improves eyesight, and improves the glow of energy in the brain.
How to practice Sarvangasana
To do this asana, lie down on your back, keep both palms down raise your legs straight up in the air, and turn them towards the head. While supporting your waist with your hands, straighten your shoulders, spine, and hips. After remaining in this position for 30 seconds, slowly come back to the old position.
