Do headstand
PractisingShirshasana is considered very good for Alzheimer's. This asana increases the supply of blood towards the head. Due to this a person's risk of short-term memory loss or Alzheimer's etc. is greatly reduced.
- To practice this asana, first sit in Vajrasana.
- Now lean forward and keep both elbows on the ground.
- During this, join the fingers of both your hands together and keep the head between the palms.
- Once your head rests on the ground, slowly start lifting your body.
- Now straighten your body. Stay in this position for some time and then return to the normal position.
Bhramari Pranayama
By doing Bhramari Pranayama, brain cells vibrate and from there the neurotransmitter dopamine is secreted. Due to this, the mental health of the person improves and the risk of Alzheimer's decreases considerably.
- To practice Bhramari Pranayama, first of all, sit in Sukhasana or Padmasana.
- During this, your back should be straight and keep your eyes closed.
- Now close your ears with the help of both your thumbs.
- Now close your eyes with the help of your two fingers and take a deep breath.
- Make a humming sound while exhaling.
- Keep in mind that your mouth should be closed. When you make a sound like a bee, it will make you feel vibrations in your body including your brain.
- You can practice it as much as you can.
Udgeetha Pranayama
Udgeeth Pranayama can also prove helpful in keeping you away from mental diseases. You can reduce the risk of Alzheimer's to a great extent through regular practice with Udgeeth Pranayama.
- To practice this asana, sit in Padmasana, Sukhasana or Siddhasana.
- During this, your waist should be straight, but do not feel the tension in your body.
- Make yoga mudra with both hands.
- Now close your eyes and take a deep breath.
- Chant Om while inhaling and exhaling.
- You can repeat this process 5-11 times.
