Some people do their business to run their livelihood, while a large number of people also do jobs. If we talk about employed people, then every month a certain amount is deducted from their salary and deposited in their PF account. At the same time, interest is also given on this money which is done annually. On the other hand, you can withdraw this money if needed in between the job or after leaving the job. But do you know that it is necessary to do one thing for this and that is that you have to activate your UAN number. Otherwise, you will not be able to withdraw money from your PF account. This is the way to activate the UAN number: –
Step 1
If your PF is also deducted and you have not yet activated your UAN number, then you should do it
To activate your UAN number, you have to visit the official website of EPFO unified portal-mem.epfindia.gov.in/memberinterface/
Step 2
After going to pf portal you have to go down a bit
Step 3
After this, you will see that a new page is open in front of you
Then you have to fill in your UAN number here
If you want, you can fill in either the UAN number or the member ID here.
Now you have to enter your 12 digit Aadhaar number, name, and date of birth
Step 4
After this, here you have to enter the registered mobile number i.e. mobile number linked to Aadhaar.
Now enter the captcha code given on the screen
Then you have to tick agree and click on 'Get Authorization Pin'
After this, your UAN number will be activated.
