Should we be afraid of different breast sizes?
The answer is no, it happens to many women that when their breasts are developing, hormonal changes can cause one to be bigger and the other to be smaller. Along with the size of the breast, their shape can also be different. Dr Tanaya says that there can be a lot of differences in breast size. A difference as small as one cup size can be seen. Usually, the left breast is bigger and the right one is smaller, but it can be vice versa with someone.
For what reasons does the size of the breast change?

Atypical ductal hyperplasia (ADH) causes changes in breast tissue cells. This happens when the milk ducts inside the breast start to grow too much.

- The growth of the breast ducts may also shrink. This is called hypoplasia.
- Sometimes breast size also changes due to hormonal problems.
