Ingredients for making Amla pickle

500 grams of Amla

2-3 tablespoons of salt (according to taste)

1-2 tablespoons of turmeric powder

2-3 tablespoons of chili powder

1 teaspoon of fennel

1 teaspoon of cumin

1 teaspoon of celery

2-3 tablespoons of mustard oil

1 teaspoon of asafoetida

Method

To make an Amla pickle, first, wash the Amla properly. After washing, dry it in the sun. After drying, make holes in it with the help of a fork and keep it to boil in water.

If you make holes in the Amla, then the spices in the pickle will be able to fit well in it. When the Amla boils, let it cool down and then cut it into small pieces.

After this, heat oil in a pan, add cumin, fennel, celery, and asafoetida, and let it crackle. Now add turmeric powder, chili powder, and fenugreek seeds and mix well.

After this, add this spice to the gooseberry pieces and mix it well. Then add salt to it and mix everything well.

Fill the pickle in a clean and dry jar and keep it in the sun. Mix it daily, so that the spices get mixed well. You can easily keep it for a month.
