WhatsApp is used by thousands of people in India. Today we are talking about such a feature by which you can set your voice recording as WhatsApp status. Let us know how to put the recording on the status.
Meta's instant messaging app WhatsApp is one of the most used apps in India. The company keeps bringing new features and updates to improve the experience of its users. Today we are going to talk about one such feature.
Voice notes in WhatsApp status
As we have mentioned that WhatsApp keeps on updating the service with new features to improve the user experience. Some of these features have already been rolled out to users, while beta testers are still testing many features. One such feature that WhatsApp is currently testing is the ability to share voice notes via status updates.
According to a report by WABetaInfo, WhatsApp is rolling out a new update (version 2.23.2.8.) through the Google Play beta program. The latest update will add this capability to a select few beta testers. Please inform that this facility is being developed from September 2022.
How does the feature work?
This feature will enable users to share voice notes as status updates. These voice notes can only be shared with a certain audience as configured within the user's privacy settings. The latest WhatsApp feature will be available to beta testers who install the latest WhatsApp beta for Android 2.23.2.8 update available on the Google Play Store.
The information found in the report has revealed how this feature will work. Beta testers will be able to share voice notes as status updates using the feature within the text status section. However, before doing this, testers need to enable the text status section before they can use it.
More control over voice recording
WhatsApp will also give users more control over their voice recordings. Users can also skip a recording before sharing it. The maximum recording time for a voice note is 30 seconds. Apart from this, users will also need to update their latest version of WhatsApp to listen to the voice notes shared through Status.
