How to change the number in the same phone
First of all, insert the SIM on your phone on which you want to run WhatsApp.
Now you have to go to the home screen of WhatsApp, go to the More option, and click on Settings. Here you have to tap on Account, Change Number, and go to Next.
On this page, you have to add the old phone number in the first option and the new phone number in the second option. Both the numbers have to be filled in along with the international code. After this, you have to click on the Next button given below.
If you turn on Notify Contacts, you will get three options – Notify all contacts, Chat contacts, or Custom. In the custom option, you will be able to select the contacts to whom you want to inform about this. After this, you have to tap on 'Done'.
