WhatsApp has been bringing many upgrades in the last few months, which are helping to improve the user experience even further. Recently, under the latest update, it was revealed that users will get different authentication methods to lock the app, and apart from this, another feature on which WhatsApp is working is to mention the contact in the status update. Amidst all this, the company has introduced another feature. WhatsApp has introduced a new feature for which people have been waiting for a long time.

Under this new feature, users will be able to share a 1-minute long video on their status. This feature has come given the long-standing request of many users. Users have been requesting for a long time to increase the 30-second limit on video uploads, and thus there is an option to share longer videos on WhatsApp status as well. That means users will be able to share a one-minute video on their status feature just like Instagram.

According to information received by WABetaInfo, WhatsApp is currently testing this feature, and after its arrival, users will not have to crop the video for their status by 30 seconds. If your video is more than 1 minute, WhatsApp will automatically cut it into 60-second segments.

Currently, information has been received that this feature has been introduced for Android beta version 2.24.7.6, and it is expected that it will be introduced to everyone in the coming week. The steps to use this feature have been described as quite easy.

For this, first of all, open the WhatsApp app on Android or iOS.

After this go to the ‘Status’ section, and then tap on the My Status icon to upload the status.

After this, select the video and confirm that it does not extend for more than one minute.
