Difference between LCD and LED TV:
Both LCD and LED TVs use liquid crystal display (LCD) technology, which means their screens are made using liquid crystal displays.
In an LCD TV, there are two thin plates of polarized material attached to a liquid crystal solution. When current passes through these plates, LCD technology produces images in an LCD TV.
In LCD TVs, cold cathode fluorescent lamps (CCFL) are used as the backlight behind the screen. It consists of fluorescent tubes arranged horizontally on the screen. LED TVs, on the other hand, have Light Emitting Diode (LED) lights behind the screen instead of CCFLs.
In the past, LCD TVs were not favored due to their backlighting, but they have seen improvements with LED backlighting technology, resulting in better picture quality.
However, LCD and LED TVs still can't compete with plasma TVs in terms of picture quality.
