The Election Commission (EC) has announced the election schedule for the 18th Lok Sabha. The Lok Sabha 2024 elections in the country will be held in seven phases. Before the elections, the government is also making all efforts to get names added to the voter list. If you are 18 years of age or older and your name is already on the voter list, it does not mean that your name should be on the new voter list also. We are saying this because sometimes names also get cut. You can find out sitting at home whether your name is on the voter list or not.
If you want to know whether your name is in the voter list or has been cut, then first of all type www.nvsp.in in the browser of your phone or laptop and click OK. Now the National Voter Service Portal will open in front of you.
Now a search box will appear on the left side, on clicking it a new page will open whose URL will be http://electoralsearch.in. Now from here, you can check your name in the voter list in two ways. In the first method, you can find your name by entering your name, father or husband's name, age, state, gender, district, and assembly constituency name. Learn another method in the next slide.
Another way is that instead of searching by name, you search by Voter ID card serial number. For this, you will get the option on this page. It is easy to search for the name with the help of a Voter ID card because, in the earlier method, you have to give information about many things. However, there is a message facility for the people of Bihar, Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu. Learn the message method in the next slide.
People of Bihar, Andhra Pradesh, and Tamil Nadu can also check by sending messages. For this, write ELE and then write 10 10-digit Voter ID number and send it to 56677. For example, write ELE TDA1234567 and send it to 56677. Rs 3 will be deducted for sending messages.
