According to the scriptures, it is believed that if we want the blessings of Mother Annapurna along with happiness and prosperity in the house, then some rules must be kept in mind while serving food to anyone. Proper serving of food on a plate brings prosperity to the house. Know about the correct rule of serving food on a plate.

Plate serving rules
First of all, a circle should be made with water on the ground and a plate should be placed on it or else you can keep a plate on a chowki or pat. After this, serve rice, pulao, halwa, etc. in the center of the plate.

Keep chewable food items on the left side of the plate and kheer containing ghee should be served on the right side.

If salt is required, place it in the middle of the top of the plate. Lemon, pickle, tomato chutney, and other chutney can be kept on the left side of the salt, and keep buttermilk, kheer, lentils, vegetables, salad etc. on the left side.

Do keep in mind that three rotis, parathas or puris should never be served in a plate.

A glass is full of water should be kept on the right side of the plate.

Rules of eating
The person eating should eat while sitting in the state of Sukhasana. One should never eat while standing or sitting in any other position. This has a bad effect on health.

Before taking food, one should say thanks for the food while meditating on the deity with folded hands.

Before starting the meal three pieces should be removed which should be fed to the cow, dog, and crow. It is believed that you remove these pieces in the name of Brahma, Vishnu, and Mahesh.

One should eat comfortably with peace. After this, you should never wash your hands in a plate or plate. This is considered an insult to food.
