Take care of hygiene

Clean the outer part of the vagina gently with warm water. Avoid using harsh soap, as it can upset the natural pH balance of the vagina.

Avoid using products containing chemicals

Avoid using perfumed products or harsh chemicals in the vagina, as this can irritate the private parts.

Safe sexual relations

To avoid sexually transmitted infections (STIs), use condoms and talk openly with your partner about sexual health.

Choosing the Right Underwear

To maintain the health of the vagina, choose cotton underwear. Also, avoid wearing tight-fitting clothing to maintain airflow and reduce moisture. The risk of infection also increases with such clothes.

Healthy diet

Chilli-spicy foods cause acidity, which worsens the pH balance of the vagina. Eating such foods also increases the risk of infection.

A balanced diet keeps the vagina healthy. The fibre found in vegetables and fruits produces good bacteria in the body, which take care of the health of the vagina. Also, proper hydration is important not only for the body but also for the health of the vagina. Therefore you should drink an adequate amount of water.

Yogasana

Including yoga in your daily routine increases the strength of the pelvic floor and improves blood circulation, which keeps the vagina healthy. Therefore, do these 2 yogasanas daily.

Malasana

This posture is called Malasana because while doing it, the shape of the body becomes like defecation. Doing this daily strengthens the muscles of the pelvic area. Additionally, stomach-related problems go away and fat in legs and thighs is reduced.

  • To do this, first of all, stand straight.
  • Make some distance between both legs.
  • Now bend your knees to come into a squat position.
  • Straighten the spine and turn the hips towards the ground.
  • Take the hips towards the ground.
  • Join both hands together and make Namaskar Mudra.
  • Stay in this posture for some time.
  • Then come back to the old posture.

Goddess pose

This posture is also known as UtkatKonasana. It is made up of three Sanskrit words Utkat, Kon and Asana. By doing this, the muscles of the pelvic area remain strong and the health of the stomach, legs and thighs remains healthy.

  • Stand with your hands on either side of you.
  • Then place your hands on the hips.
  • Open your feet shoulder-width apart and turn your toes outward.
  • Now slowly bend the knees and bring the hips down.
  • Breathe in and make Namaskar posture with both hands.
  • Stay in this position for some time and then come back to normal posture.
