A toll tax is a tax that is taken from vehicles using any road or bridge. It is a type of fee that is used for the construction and maintenance of roads. In India, toll plazas have been set up on many national and state highways where toll tax is taken from vehicles. In today's time, toll tax is deducted automatically. Earlier for this, vehicles had to stand in queues and pay toll tax by paying money manually. But in today's time, Fastag is used. Money is deducted automatically from Fastag and due to this people get a lot of convenience and there is no jam on the roads.
Fastag is an electronic technology by which automatic tolls can be paid at the toll plaza while driving. It works on Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology. Fastag is pasted on the windscreen of the vehicle, which gets scanned by the cameras installed at the toll plaza and automatically deducts the money.
Fastag has some flaws too. Sometimes some people's toll tax is deducted twice, in such a case, the toll deducted the second time can be refunded. Let us know what is the complete process to get its refund.
There are two ways to get a refund-
