March 11 has become an important date for every mother. The reason for this is that the Maharashtra government has made it mandatory to include the name of the mother along with the father in every government document. Even though this decision is limited to just one state, it has given recognition to mothers across the country for their sacrifice and dedication towards their children. Let us tell you that with effect from May 1, 2024, the mother's name will be mandatory on all government documents like birth certificates, school documents, property documents, Aadhar cards, and PAN cards.

There is no doubt that a mother sacrifices more for her child than a father. From the hard work of keeping the child in the womb for 9 months till it grows up, the entire work becomes a mother's responsibility. No man can do this work. But whenever it comes to the identity of the child, the father's name comes first. This Patriarchal Society is a system in which the importance of a mother is completely denied. A woman becomes just a puppet in the hands of men.

The importance of women not understood in a patriarchal society
Patriarchy where only one man makes all the decisions. He is the head of the house. Women have as much freedom as a man wants to give them. That too only because he earns money. Even today, even though we are becoming a modern society, women still have to take advice from their fathers, brothers, husbands, or sons to do what they want. When one has to fight for one's basic rights, one can understand one's importance.

Why is the mother's name important for identification?
By adding your mother's name to your identity, you recognize the person who has done everything possible for your happiness and comfort. Even if she does not earn, managing the house does not make her life easy. It would not be wrong to say that a mother can play the role of a father but it is almost impossible for a father to be a mother to his children.

Both parents are necessary for the child
Just as it is considered necessary to have both parents for the good upbringing of a child. In the same way, the child should also be identified by the names of both his parents. So that the child can understand that the role of the mother is no less than that of the father in his life.
