Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg has launched the Threads app to compete with Elon Musk's microblogging site Twitter. Threads is a text based social media app. It is very similar to Twitter. After the launch of Threads, Mark Zuckerberg has made a tweet in which he is trolling Elon Musk. This is the first time in 11 years that Mark Zuckerberg has tweeted. He had earlier tweeted in 2012, although he had joined Twitter only in 2009. Mark Zuckerberg's Twitter account is not verified. Now with the launch of Threads, Elon Musk has changed his decision due to which there has been a ruckus since last one week.

Anyone without an account can also see tweets
Elon Musk had said only last week that a Twitter account would be needed to see someone's tweet, that is, if you do not have a Twitter account, then you will not be able to see someone's tweet. Now it looks like Elon Musk has changed his mind after the launch of Threads, as we can see tweets from anyone even without an account. We have checked it ourselves and you can also see the screenshots below. Elon Musk had also said that users with blue ticks would be able to see or read 6000 posts per day, whereas for those without blue ticks, this limit is only up to 600 posts. Elon Musk said that this is a temporary arrangement that has been implemented to prevent large-scale data theft and manipulation of the system.

Threads app launched
The Threads app has been launched by the team of Instagram. The Instagram logo is visible in the Threads app itself, after tapping on which you can directly access the Instagram account. Threads can be downloaded from the Google Play Store and Apple's App Store.

If you already have blue tick on Instagram i.e. if your Instagram account is already verified then Threads account will be verified automatically. You can also download Threads for free from Apple's App Store. In Threads, you can login with your Instagram ID.

In Threads, you can post up to 500 characters that can include web links, photos (up to 10 photos at a time), and videos of up to one minute. You can also block and follow someone in Threads. If you have blocked someone on Instagram, they will remain blocked on Threads as well.
