TB infection
TB is an infectious disease caused by a bacteria called Mycobacterium tuberculosis. It spreads mainly through airborne droplets. There may be a risk of infection to other people around them through droplets emitted by cough or sneeze of people with TB disease.
What are the symptoms in TB patients?
TB infection occurs due to the growth of TB germs in the lungs. In the case of initial infection, most people do not show any symptoms. Some people develop flu-like problems, which cause mild fever, fatigue and cough. In case of increasing infection, problems like mucus with cough, pain with breathing or coughing, fever-chills, sweating at night have been seen.
However, in a recent research, scientists said that the main symptom of TB, i.e. cough, is no longer seen in most infected people. Health experts say that it is important for all people to take special precautions regarding TB disease. For prevention, it is necessary that we have the right information about this disease.
