Khajjiar, situated in the dense forests of deodar in Chamba, Himachal, is a favourite vacation destination of the people. Khajjiar, situated at an altitude of 2000 meters (6,500 feet) above sea level, is receiving heavy snowfall these days.

Khajjiar is named after the 12th-century Hindu temple Khajji Nag present here. From the point of view of tourism, it got a new identity when on July 7, 1992, it got a place on the world tourism map under the name of Mini Switzerland.

Video albums of many Punjabi, Hindi and Pahari songs have also been shot in Khajjiar. Scenes of many films like Gadar Ek Prem Katha, Wajood, Lootera, Himalaya Putra and Blue Umbrella etc. have been shot in the beautiful valleys here.

Along with enjoying paragliding, horse riding, rolling ball, and children's swings, traditional folk music can also be enjoyed here. There is a belief about the ancient Khajji Nag temple located here that every vow sought after bowing here is fulfilled.
