Only after losing the ticket, you should immediately contact the ticket checker and after giving complete information, the ticket checker can make a new ticket for you. On the other hand, if you are travelling on a train and your ticket is lost, then you can show the coach and berth message to the TTE by going to the IRCTC app. This will give them confirmation as well.
Apart from this, when you book train tickets online, the ticket is also sent by the railways to your mobile phone number and mail id. PNR confirmation message also comes in your mobile, you can show them also, it will come to know that the seat you are on is your seat or berth which was given to you.
When do I get a refund?
If you have missed your train, you can get a refund of 50 percent of the base fare of your ticket by filling out a TDR, but you have to do this within the stipulated time.
Let us tell you that if you have a platform ticket, then you can easily travel by that train and if a passenger travels in an emergency, then he should immediately contact the TTE first.
