The name of this scheme of the Delhi government is Mukhyamantri Teerth Yojana. Under this scheme, the government is making the major pilgrimages of the country free of cost, especially to the elderly. This scheme has been started from June 26, 2023. Under the scheme, more than 600 passengers will be taken from Safdarjung to Dwarkadhish through a special train. Passengers will not have to pay any kind of fare while traveling. Under this pilgrimage, the pilgrims are getting a chance to visit the two Jyotirlingas of Dwarka, Gujarat, Somnath, and Nageshwar.
Passengers do not have to spend any kind of money for stay and food while traveling. All these things will be arranged by the government.
According to Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, more than 40 thousand people have taken advantage of this scheme.
Under this scheme, you can visit many places including Jagganathpuri, Rameshwaram, Kartarpur Sahib, Ayodhya, Velankanni, Shirdi, Mathura, Haridwar, Tirupati Balaji, Vaishno Devi. Under this scheme, a person above 21 years of age can also go along with the elderly above the age of 60. The government will also bear its expenses.
