First of all, keep in mind that the scope of damage to the eyeglasses is high, so whatever recipe you try on them, it should not be too scratchy.
Clean glasses with the help of baking soda
- Baking soda
- Water
- Microfiber Cloth
By using these three things, you can make the scratch a little lighter. First, wipe your glasses with a microfibre cloth and then wash them with plain water. Make a thick paste by mixing baking soda and a little water in a bowl and then apply it on the scratched lens.
Now rub it with a microfibre cloth in circular motions with light hands and you are done. Keep in mind not to apply too much pressure.
Now wash the glasses again with plain water and wipe them with a microfibre cloth. You will feel the scratches getting lighter. You can also repeat this process.
You can also use baking soda with rubbing alcohol. Normally, rubbing alcohol is used to clean glasses, and if baking soda is used with it, then things can be cured to some extent. The method is the same, instead of water, make a paste with baking soda and rubbing alcohol and then clean the scratches of glasses through it. Your glasses will be much better cleaned this way.
These things do not lighten the scratches of glasses
In most home remedies, using toothpaste is said to reduce glass scratches, but using toothpaste can make the problem worse. Sometimes the scratch becomes deeper instead of reducing. This home remedy is not effective.
Also, if you have lens cleaner and gel, that will only clean glasses. It can be thought of as cleaning them, but not about removing their scratches.
Even applying car wax will do nothing. Many home remedies call for cleaning the glasses with car or candle wax, but doing so may make it more difficult for you to see through the glasses.
Keep in mind that eyeglasses are a bit delicate and it would be wrong to rub anything too hard on them. This will affect their quality.
