Diwali is a great festival of five days, which lasts from Dhanteras to Bhai Dooj. Pooja immersion takes place on the day of Bhai Dooj. Many people do not know what to do with the silver coins, Lakshmi Ganesh idol, flowers offered and intact kept for Diwali puja. Most people pick it up and throw it away, otherwise, they keep it under a tree. Let us tell you that during Diwali worship, when you establish the idol and offer flowers and Akshat and worship it, then Goddess Lakshmi becomes happy. If you keep the idol and worship material anywhere after worship, then Goddess Lakshmi gets angry. Therefore, follow these measures to maintain the blessings of Goddess Lakshmi in your life.

What to do with the material offered during Diwali puja?

  • Instead of keeping the rice, flowers, kumkum and coriander offered for Diwali worship anywhere, take a red cloth.
  • Put silver coin, rice, flowers, kumkum and coriander in a red cloth and tie it.
  • After tying, take the bundle in your hand and pray to Goddess Lakshmi and after paying obeisance, keep it in the safe.

Immerse in river and pond

  • If the clay idol of Lakshmi Ganesh and all the offered flowers, Belpatra, Durva and Akshat are also kept in red cloth.
  • After keeping it, pay obeisance to Maa Lakshmi and say, O Maa Lakshmi, after five days of ritual worship, we are going to immerse your idol in water.
  • But you remain seated with Ganpatiji in our house and maintain your blessings.
  • After salutations and requests, immerse the idol and flowers intact in a water body.
  • Keep in mind that the water should be pure and clean and there should not be any kind of dirt around it, otherwise, Goddess Lakshmi will get angry.
  • If there is no reservoir or river pond near you, then put some soil in a pot and keep the intact flower in it and also keep the idol and pour water.
  • After adding water and soil and mixing it well, you can plant a plant in it.
  • This does not cause any insult to the offered worship material or idol.

What to do with gold and silver idol

  • Many people donate the idol after worshipping but do not donate the idol worshipped during Diwali to anyone and keep it with you.
  • First, bathe the gold and silver idols in Ganga water and then they can be installed again in the temple and vault.
  • Keep in mind that before placing the idols again in the safe temple, worship them as per the rituals and pay obeisance to Goddess Lakshmi.

Do not do this even by mistake with the idol and intact flower.

  • After Diwali puja, many people keep the idol and intact flowers under the tree; let us tell you that by doing this Goddess Lakshmi gets angry.
  • By doing this, a person may get into trouble and Goddess Lakshmi may leave the house and this 5-day Diwali worship may become futile.
  • Apart from this, do not immerse at the time of sunset or after that.
