Meta launched X (formerly Twitter) Threads last year. Threads is also a microblogging platform like X. There have been complaints from people regarding Threads since its launch. Threads does not have many features that users need, although the company is working on it.
There was no option to delete the Threads app during launch but later the company provided this facility. Now Threads is working on a new feature, after which Instagram posts can be automatically posted on Threads, that is, the feature of cross-posting is coming.
Currently, this feature of Threads is being tested, however, even after the update, this feature will work only for photos and not for videos and reels. Now, if seen formally, Instagram has become a complete video platform. In such a situation, Threads can be made a photo platform.
Meta has said that this upcoming feature will be optional i.e. any Instagram user can link their post if they want to share it on the thread. One thing to note here is that you will not be able to share hashtags, that is, if you share a post with a hashtag on Instagram, that hashtag will not be visible on Threads. Let us tell you that Meta is promoting Threads on both Facebook and Instagram. Recently, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg said that the number of monthly active users of Threads has crossed the 150 million mark.
