When Meta launched the Threads app, it became the fastest-downloaded app in the world. Looks like Twitter is going to end. Many experts gave Threads the title of the Twitter killer but within a week the craze for Threads ended. Now Threads are not being discussed anywhere. Threads is the second major project of the company to fail after Metaverse.

The number of active users is continuously decreasing
Threads were introduced to compete with Twitter, which has now been renamed X. According to a report by Sensor Tower, there is an 82 percent decrease in the number of daily active users of Threads. As of July 31, the Threads app has 44 million users, but only 8 million users are using it. Barely every day people are using the Threads app for only 2.9 minutes, whereas in the launching week, people were spending almost 19 minutes on it every day.

Twitter should have suffered loss but benefited
Meta introduced Threads in competition with Twitter. Twitter should have suffered because of Threads but it has gained. Twitter (X) owner Elon Musk had said in the beginning that he had no concerns about the Threads app. Amid the thread app going viral, Elon Musk changed the name of Twitter to X, and at the same time, he told that the number of monthly active users of X has broken all records so far. The number of X monthly active users has crossed the figure of 540 million i.e. 54 crores.

New features in Threads
Threads have introduced the Following and You Feed features. As you go to Twitter's timeline, you get the option of two feeds, one is the Following and the other is the You feed. In the same way, now two feeds will be available in Threads as well. The Following will show posts from people you follow and the You feed will show posts based on your interests. Apart from these two new features, the translation feature is also going to come in Threads. After the introduction of this feature, the posts of Threads will automatically be translated into the language of the users.
