If you are using the UPI payment platform PhonePe, then there is good news for you. Now making UPI payments has become even easier for Google Pay users. The company has made the UPI Lite feature live on its app. Now users can easily make payments of up to Rs 200 without entering a PIN. Recently Paytm and PhonePe have also started this feature.
Importantly, UPI Lite was launched in September 2022 by Reserve Bank of India (RBI) governor Shaktikanta Das to make low-value UPI payments faster and easier. With UPI Lite, you can easily do many small daily transactions with a single click.
No PIN is required for transactions up to Rs.200
The UPI Lite wallet allows users to make instant transactions of up to Rs 200 with a single load. No PIN is required for transactions up to Rs.200. This will make the payment process easier and faster. A maximum of Rs 2,000 can be added at a time. You can spend a maximum of Rs 4,000 in 24 hours through UPI Lite.
How to activate the UPI Lite feature in Google Pay?
Open the Google Pay app.
- Click on your profile picture in the top right corner of the app's home screen.
Then click on UPI Lite Pay PIN Free and follow the instructions.
- Select an eligible bank account that supports UPI Lite to add money.
After entering the UPI PIN, the UPI Lite account will be activated successfully.
-Importantly, you can create only one UPI Lite account on Google Pay.
