Pahari Mandir, Ranchi

It is situated at an altitude of 300 feet at a distance of about 7 km from Ranchi Railway Station. This temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and is visited by devotees throughout the year. However, a different crowd of devotees is seen here during the month of Sawan. During this, there is a special importance of visiting the temple. It is also known as Richi Buru. People come here to visit the temple as well as for birdwatching.

Bhadra Kali Temple, Chauparan

This Hindu temple dedicated to Maa Shakti has located about 70 km from Gaya. The bhadrakali form of Mother Goddess is worshipped in this temple. This is an ancient temple which dates back to the 7th to 10th century AD. It is one of the 51 Shaktipeeths. Many remains of Buddhist and Jain remains are also found here. The Buddhist Stupas and the footprints of the Jain Tirthankaras and Sheetalnath are preserved. Therefore, people of different religions come here for darshan.

Sun Temple, Bundu

This temple is dedicated to Lord Surya and is located about 40 km from Ranchi. The temple is built in the structure of an 18-wheeled chariot, which is pulled by seven white horses. The architecture of this temple is very special. Devotees come to this temple throughout the year to worship the Sun God, but during Chhath Puja, a huge crowd is seen here. In addition to the Sun God, the idols of Shiva, Parvati and Ganesha are also present in the temple.

Jagannathpur Temple, Ranchi

In the 17th century, this Jagannathpur temple was built like the JagannathDham of Puri. It is situated like a fort on top of a hill, about 10 km from Ranchi. This temple is dedicated to Lord Jagannath, Balabhadra and Subhadra. The speciality of this temple can be gauged from this. People must visit this temple during RathYatra.

Trikuti Temple, Deoghar

Trikuti, located at a distance of about 10 km from Deoghar, is a popular pilgrimage centre dedicated to Maa Shakti. Trikuti is also known as the Garden of Shiva as the place has a lot of Wood Apple trees. This place is considered a very holy place. A huge number of devotees are seen in this temple during the month of Sawan and the festival of MahaShivratri.
