According to Meta, your data will not be uploaded to Facebook servers when you use the SMS service in Messenger. However, rates for sending SMS will apply. Users will be able to send and receive SMS using data.

How to send SMS via Facebook Messenger

  • First of all, open the Facebook Messenger app on your Android smartphone.
  • Then go to your profile by tapping on the profile icon in the top right corner.
