Sugar Reducing Leaves: Diabetes is a disease in which an increased amount of sugar starts running in the nerves related to the heart, BP, kidney, eye, etc. It starts spoiling these organs. According to WHO, about 422 million people in the world are suffering from diabetes. Of these, 1.5 million people die every year. In India, the matter is worse. Because a maximum of 80 million people in India are suffering from diabetes. It is estimated that by 2045, more than 13 crore people in India will be diabetic. That's why India has come to be called the Diabetic Capital of the World. Although diabetes has been treated with many leaves in Ayurveda for a long time, now science has also started proving it.

There are about 800 such trees and plants in which anti-diabetic properties have been found. However, more research is still needed on most of these. Research by NCBI has claimed that if the leaves of Costus igneous, bhriguraj, and eucalyptus are chewed, blood sugar can be controlled by increasing the production of insulin.

Chew these leaves in the morning
1. Costus Igneous or Insulin Plant- Costus Igneous is found to have so many anti-diabetic properties that it is known as Insulin Plant. This plant is found in Karnataka and Kerala. In research by the American Center for Biotechnology and Information, it has been found that chewing the leaves of Costus igneous reduces the blood glucose level greatly. In the study, the amount of sugar was increased in some rats by giving them dexamethasone. After this, when costus igneous was given, suddenly the blood sugar level went down. This is the reason that today tablets made from Costus igneous leaves are also being sold in the market.

2. Bhriguraj - People generally know Bhriguraj for the strength of hair, but by chewing Bhuguraj leaves, blood sugar is also reduced. According to the NCBI website, Bhriguraj leaves have anti-diabetic properties. Bhriguraj has hypoglycemic properties. That is, it can reduce blood sugar. Eating Bhriguraj leaves on an empty stomach in the morning keeps blood sugar under control throughout the day and insulin production increases naturally.

3. Eucalyptus – Eucalyptus is called the Nilgiri tree. Eucalyptus oil is used to drive away insects. Research has found anti-diabetic properties in eucalyptus leaves. According to research, compounds like glycosides, alkaloids, flavonoids, terpenoids, and carotenoids are found in eucalyptus leaves, which play a role in activating the beta cells of the pancreas. That is, it naturally increases the production of insulin. Chewing some eucalyptus leaves early in the morning keeps blood sugar under control throughout the day.
