What is Subhadra Yojana?
The Odisha government has started the Subhadra Yojana for the women of the state to promote women's empowerment. Under this scheme, women will be given ₹ 10000 annually. According to the information from the Odisha government, about one crore women in the state will be benefited under this scheme. Guidelines for the scheme have been issued by the government.
The Odisha government will launch this scheme on September 17, i.e. on the occasion of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's birthday. Under this scheme, women will be sent money directly to their accounts through Direct Benefit Transfer in two installments of Rs 5,000 each in a year.
Eligibility for the scheme
To apply for the Subhadra scheme, the age of women should be between 21 years to 60 years. For this, it is also necessary for women to be natives of the state of Odisha. Under the scheme, women who are government employees will not be given benefits. Or women who have an income taxpayer in their house.
They will also not be given benefits under the scheme. At the same time, financially prosperous women will also not be able to take advantage of the scheme. And women who are already taking benefit of ₹ 1500 under any scheme of the state. They will also not be given benefits under the Subhadra scheme.
₹500 extra will be given
The Odisha government will provide debit cards to women through the Subhadra scheme. In every Gram Panchayat and urban body, women will do the maximum digital transactions. The government will also give ₹500 extra to 100 of them under the scheme.
How to apply
To apply for the Subhadra scheme, women will have to get the form from the Anganwadi center or block office or Mo-Seva Kendra and Jan Seva Kendra. For this, women will not have to pay any money separately. After filling out the form, it will have to be submitted to the Anganwadi center or block office along with the relevant documents.
