Air pollution is a major health risk to health, the threat of which is increasing rapidly at the global level. Many studies have been alerting about the risks of air pollution. Researchers say, apart from developing lung-related problems due to air pollution, it is harmful to the body in many other ways.

In a recent report, health experts said that the way air pollution exposure is seen on a global scale has increased the risks of disability and premature death due to cardiovascular diseases in a large number of people.

Analysis of the Global Burden of Disease study has shown that air pollution is seen to increase the risk of heart disease and its related serious diseases. Health experts say everyone needs to be aware of the risks of air pollution, which can lead to serious health problems and is a global threat.

What do health experts say?
Farshad Farzadfar, head of non-communicable diseases at Tehran University of Medical Sciences in Iran, says that the increase in disability cases from 1990 to 2019 is due to the rapid increase in air pollution and PM (particulate matter) 2.5 levels worldwide. We have focused on this growing burden globally.

Particulate matter pollution is a widespread environmental risk factor affecting all populations around the world. Along with its effect on the lungs, heart, and mental health, it is understood in this study that increased levels of pollution are also increasing the risks of disability in people.

Premature death due to air pollution
Researchers said, due to the increasing level of PM 2.5, there is also a relative decrease in life expectancy. Despite a 36.7% decrease in the age-standardized death rate, there has been an increase in deaths across all ages.

The research, published in the Journal of the American Heart Association, analyzed particulate matter (PM) pollution as a risk factor for death and disability using data from 204 countries collected between 1990 and 2019. Air pollution is causing diseases in people that may increase the risk of premature death.

Dangerous substances going into the body
PM 2.5 pollution consists of tiny particles of liquid and solid substances in the air that are inhaled into the lungs. This type of risk is more due to vehicular emissions, smoke, dust, pollen, etc. The analysis found that there has been an increase in cardiovascular diseases caused by PM and air pollution.

In addition, the increasing level of particulate matter pollution can be dangerous for overall health, all people need to be protected from its risks.
